New release in testing

I have a new release in testing right now. This release addresses performance issues. I’ve been testing with 1000+ rows of data with 8+ columns. There are significant load time reductions. Keep checking back for a release in the coming days.

    Hi Mark,

    I am having issues with table re-sizing. I have tried with both jquery-1.4.2 and jquery-1.3.2. The table stretches, but does not contract as I would expect. I have to hit refresh once I start shrinking the browser in order for the table to fit in my screen. I believe I have everything setup like the demo (only my table generating dynamically). If you could provide some help, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, Lisa

    Mark,

    I have really enjoyed using this library, but due to the speed issues my users (internal application) are clamoring for a different library. Any word on when we could get a 1.1 copy?

    This is a great plug in. I am really looking forward to the update. It runs a little slow on my table but I have a ton of jquery running on this page anyway. Also in IE, when there are too many columns, the vertical scroll bar in the body throws the header columns off from body. But it sounds like you are working on this. Great work.

    Hey Mark, i like what you’ve done here! I’m curious, why did you choose to wrap the table cell contents in & tags? Is it not enough to place with width values on the & elements?

    I don’t see the beta preview on the download section?
    Any news about it?

    That’d be great. I don’t really need IE 6 support on my site. Good going though.

    This is great! Any word on 1.1?

    I noticed one thing that appeared to be a bug. On line 86:

    obj.attr(‘id’, obj.attr(‘class’));

    This is changing the id of the wrapping div–for apparently no reason, and that causes problems if I’m going to grab it later for anything. Commenting out this line did the trick.

      Good catch. I’ll take a look at it closely and include your fix in the upcoming release.

      Having some issues in IE6 that has taken longer to fix. All other browsers work great. I might just release a beta preview for those that don’t need IE6 support while i fix IE6 support. I’ll set that up this weekend as a download.
